LOL ^^^ I thought it was rather true, and mirthful.
So what have I been up to?
Today I managed to find time to make a film.
Here it be: Viennese inspired Ballet Heels
So. Let me see? Well apart from burning calf muscles and such they weren’t so bad to get around in. I would prefer the heel sits more directly under the toe…so that will be something to consider with the next set of heels.
But, they are a bugger to balance on I can tell you. They weren’t made to my specifications or they would have looked completely different -

On a boot upper but you can clearly see the “heel” continues all the way down to the toe of the boot. I am “laying down on the heel and that is not the effect I desired at all…like a lot of the modified heels of this time, they were more “circus clown” than sexy.
Never mind. I now have a way of making my own steel heels in any shape I desire. Will keep you posted.
I have been hawking my shoes around the place. I need to get together a line of shoes for the general public to show. There is great interest in them, and the designs. I have been advised to take the general lines to the shoe houses and see whether or not they want to pick up one or two (or more) of the styles.
Other than that, I killed my sewing machine (well, it’s on life support and needs a fixing) so I can’t sew leather anymore. Bugger. Actually, I can’t sew fabric right now, so out goes the corset I was going to make. :-P
Some of you know my car was written off by some knob jockey (yeh, he told his Insurance Co that it was my fault) who went through a give-way sign and banged up the driver’s side of my car, and rendered it willing itself to drive sideways…bad. Very bad. But I did manage to get myself another car. What a surprise that must have been, despite giving me the wrong number combinations to his credit card.
I still get really tired. Anyway, it matters not, because I am getting better, Spring will be here soon, then summer and recovery from pneumonia should be complete.
Anyway, here’s some photos from greenfairycorsets.com :-)

Have lotsa fun

Vienesse Heels. Absolutely effing brilliant to watch you move about on those heels.
Thanks. It was a bit trippy I must say.
Vienesse heels: you take ballet heels to a whole new level! Great skill!
Yay my pic! Still looking for shoot sponsors at the mo’… It would be great to get a wonderful outfit to wear the new corsetry with for the site!
get stitching then ma’am. I am making a “green fairy” outfit as we speak, Ballet heels included
Do you get this reply?
Yuppers
Dear Suzanne,
those ballet heels are absolutely superb and exquisite.
I want a pair even more now, it’s just finding the funds.
Please, if you get chance, do another video. I know at some point you will be venturing outdoors in them, that I can’t wait to see. As with anything new and challenging, these wonderful boots will need a little practice,
Take care,
John
The weather is stopping me more than anything. I still have some residual pneumonia and the cold air really makes me cough. So, I’ve been a wimpy girl and staying inside mostly. They are special boots, that’s for sure!
Hi Suzanne,
have you tried them on your wooden floor yet, I have no carpets, and was wondering what the stability was like. What is the white line at the back of your ankles? Is it something on your leggings, or is it a back support from the boots. Just being curious. I think these boots are awesome.
Take care
John
Hi
The white line is on the pants. They are stable as they’re going to be for what they are.
Holy crap! I swear that shouldn’t be possible at all! lol I mean, the amount of the heel you are actually balancing on is soooo tiny especially since it seems the angle makes you walk more on the very back of the heel tip rather than fully on it. If you’d just shown a picture of the boots I wouldn’t have believed anyone could walk in them at all.
Amazing. I suppose making the heel end directly under the toe would make them easier to balance in? Look forward to seeing prototype 2.
I am hoping that will happen with the next lot of heels. Because it’s design on the fly, it’s trial and error a lot of the time…but this version is rather amazing to walk around in.
Suzan You are a babe I love you playing your games and you have a great pair of legs you as a test pilot is great fun. Walk down the road in the and lets see what people think.
Take care Nige X
Shall do. Filming on Sunday if the weather is any good…
