Far out! For that title, the entry better be a bloody good one!!!!
FLUEVOG GRAND NATIONAL CORSET BOOTS
So. I mentioned John Fluevog Grand Nationals not so long ago. I was coveting them like a crazed coveting person. I have known about these since 2005 when a Live Journal mate of mine got herself a pair of knee high side lacing style. Oh WOW!!! What a spectacular pair of boots!!! She paid through the nose for them even then.
So after a bit of wangling and such with the seller, I now own the style I showed you in THIS entry.

The lace up front of this Grand National boot is really unusual. They tickle my fantasy as far as unusual footwear goes.
They’re not for wearing so I’ll just say they fit like a glove, are absolutely comfortable and everything I thought they would be. :-D
FUSS SCHUHE RED PATENT 6″ MULE
So…I have been also coveting a pair of 6″ high mules for quite some time as well. Haven’t found any that I liked due to the heels being too low. I saw these a couple of months ago, and they are finally here in my hot little hands.
So gorgeous. Size 37 Euro. Fuss (which are made in Italy); Italian Heels and Di-Marni all size their shoes to TRADITIONAL sizings so you won’t have any drama with the fit. Someone asked me if they thought the Di-Marnis run small…I would say definitely not. They haven’t “vanity sized” their shoes to suit the clothing fashion way. However, trying to work out what size you are in these brands if you haven’t bought them, might cause you a bit of to and fro with the store owner to make sure you get the right size.
Usually sending them measurements of your feet helps a lot.

A really well made shoe. I am VERY happy with the way they performed today, even if it will take me a little while to get used to the new style. ![]()
And? Value for money? Yes. Sure. You won’t find a decent single soled 6″ heel in many places these days – mostly they seem to be made as some sort of strange mantle piece knick knack that is only to be worn in photo shoots. :-P Not knocking the models by any means, it’s the manufacturers of these ridiculously overpriced dust collectors. These are a sturdy little shoe. I wore them all day, and apart from my not being used to the whole dynamic of them, they were comfortable and reasonable to get around in. I would have thought the complete opposite, however having these marvellous little gems on my feet have definitely changed my mind!
Why did I choose the red? Because they go faster, of course!!! :-P
Happy feet
TOP END COMBAT BOOTS
So. I’ve been terribly slack and never got around to showing the combat style boots in motion. As you can see from the date of the post I introduced them to you…and I’d owned them for some time prior
Here’s the post ==> CLICKY CLICKY
They were so inspiring for one friend, she went out and researched the hell out of the internet and found herself a pair. Mon Dieu! Not bad really, considering they were last year’s collection from an Aussie company who only releases a few sizes in each style per year…so I figured if she can go to THAT effort, then I can make a movie of me in mine for her. She does not live in Australia which makes her find even more fantastical!!!!
These are a seriously nice little boot. They were expensive, around the $300 mark; however they’ve stood the test of time until recently when the zipper closure shat itself on both boots and I had to have them replaced. Due to easy front entry, I went the extra mile and sealed shut the zippers so they can’t break again.
The size is 37 and the heel height is 13cm. There is no hidden platform, and no visible one either.
What I like about them the most is the tough looking details; which are well finished. Often times you see a similar styled boot but the finish is crappy and they either have a hidden platform, or a large visible one, are made out of “vegan” leather and just don’t look as nice as these do. :-P
Thanks for reading

I am sitting here at the PC – little bit pissed – Friday night in Cornwall. New email from you and you are still going on about shoes
Can we please have some corsets soon
Love and peace
Tony
Oh, I thought there was plenty of corset fodder over at youtube – and I figured once you’ve seen it, then there’s not much else to look at.
However today I am making a video about corsets. Hope that helps.
Those red mules! My GAWD. High heeled red perfection. Red + shoe + heel is already a dangerously awesome combo, but these will make the Shoe Goddess herself green with envy.
Just be careful she doesn’t jealously hit you with a bolt of lightning for walking around in them like it takes no effort at al.
I love the combat boots. I generally find the contrast between rough and ultra-feminine very interesting. A bit like leather and lace.
